Beryl is a transparent gem with colors ranging from warm sunny yellow to pale shades of green. Both aquamarine and emerald also fall into the Beryl family. Morganite is the pink variety of Beryl, which is the same mineral family as Emerald and Aquamarine. The gemstone Peridot is treasured for its yellowish-green hue. Tourmaline occurs naturally in a wide range of colors, and often displays naturally occurring internal feathers or included crystals.
