Aquamarine is the blue variety of Beryl and it naturally occurs in a range of tones from light pastel to a more saturated deep marine blue. Beryl is a transparent gem with colors ranging from warm sunny yellow to pale shades of green. Both aquamarine and emerald also fall into the Beryl family. Emeralds are a type of Beryl loved for their green hue. The finest emeralds come from Colombia and the gemstone is widely accepted to have natural inclusions that are often called the jardin (French for garden) because they resemble a garden. Fire Opals are a variety of opal with color ranging from bright yellow, orange or red and is translucent to transparent. They rarely exhibit play-of-color as the revered characteristic is the rich color saturation that is inherent in the stone. Kunzite is adored for its soft pink hue with hints of violet and for its exceptional clarity in larges sizes. Pink Tourmaline can be found in an array of hues ranging from intense and saturated to light and pastel. Tanzanite is a vivid blue-violet mineral.
